Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced on 06-16-2007 that seven of the top insurers who provide Medicare private fee-for-service plan providers have been suspended from marketing their plans until controls are in place to prevent deceptive marketing. The suspension was a ‘voluntary’ agreement on the part of the seven insurers and will be allowed to continue enrolling members during the marketing suspension.
